For the biotech sector, Alfa Valvole produces valves equipped with electric or pneumatic actuator, which have several advantages:
– Automatic identification of the valves to be operated;
– Provide information regarding the position of the valve, at any time;
– Reliability on repetitive functions avoiding the possibility of errors in the manoeuvre;
– Guarantee safety by avoiding undue manoeuvre.
The standard Alfa Valvole AVT is a pneumatic actuator designed for a rotation of 90° ± 3° with the possibility of double acting, in opening and closing. It is a device that can be supplied both with double effect, which uses pneumatic force in both directions, and with single effect, where the pneumatic force is contrasted by that accumulated by the springs. In this case, a safe return is allowed.
In both cases, the forces act on the pistons which impart a clockwise rotation to the pinion.
Made of anodized aluminum, the actuators can be used in a temperature range from -20° C to +80° C, with an IP67 degree of protection in accordance with EN60529.
The full Alfa Valvole product range can be supplied with standard valve control systems, such as AVT pneumatic actuators, or with complex control systems such as skotch&joke actuators and control panels.
In addition to the actuators, Alfa Valvole offers a range of accessories including Namur solenoid valves with different voltage classes and different limit switch boxes, including the standard version mod. AVB200, intrinsically safe construction and with explosion-proof enclosure.
In coupling with the valve, the lower drilling of the actuator complies with ISO 5211/DIN 3337, while in the interface with the solenoid valves the upper end of the pinion and the drilling on the upper surface are in accordance with VDI/VDE 3845, NAMUR.
All Alfa Valvole actuators are certified according to ATEX 2014/34/EU and IEC 61508 up to SIL3.
